Welcome!
I hope you enjoy a peek into the life and career of Ms. Cooper-Wood, (aka: The Philosopher Artist, or The Thoreauvian Bohemian, depending on what day it is.)

Much has changed in the past year. I have done a lot on my list from last year. Here is what I have changed so far:
1: I am in graduate school getting my MAT K-6 w/SPED in order to become a teacher. I still have hopes that a school will hire me through the ARL program. While I wait for that to happen, I am working on getting my license through graduate school, which I am enjoying.
2: Still working at finding time for art. Really need to find the time in order to balance out my brain.
3: I answered in 1.
4: I moved to Salt Lake City Utah to be closer to graduate school.
5: Was able to visit parents a few times. Would have liked to have visited more. Will work on that this year.
6: I continue to write a lot.
7: Reading is still important to me. Most of my reading now is for school. I have taken on a project as to what books I read in my free time. The books I am reading are contemporary literature for children and writing reviews on them. I want to know why my students love certain books. On a side note: they are easy enough for me to read while doing my graduate school reading.
8, 9 & 10 remain the same as does my final insight.
Now you know what I have been doing over the past year. I am moving forward and that is a good thing!

This summer has brought me to some interesting insights into the direction in which I wish for my life and career. Not all of these insights are clear yet. Many are very foggy, while others are clear.
Here is a list, not a full list though. I do not believe a full list should ever exist, otherwise a person would become, well, boring. I really do not want to be boring.
Here is the list as of today;
1: I know for sure that I want to be a teacher.
2: Art will continue to be a part of my life and I need to make more time for my creative self.
3: I wish to continue my education, where?
4: Move, to where? That is one of the foggy bits.
5: Visit my parents more.
6: Write, write, and write some more.
7: Read, read, and read more.
8: Travel and create. Another foggy bit is traveling.
9: Go camping before winter sets in.
10: and ................................>
For today that is my list. Oh, another for sure insight~continue to love my family, human and animal, plus my friends.
